Abstract
This will be an detailed analysis of cultural betrayal trauma theory with a focus on the socioecological context. This will be followed by the challenges of culturally competent trauma therapy and holistic healing. There will be an opportunity to present case reports.

Objectives
After the completion of this class, participants will be able to:

  1. Summarize Cultural Betrayal Trauma Theory (CBTT)
  2. Discuss the clinician’s therapeutic role in competent trauma therapy for black women and girl survivors of cultural betrayal sexual trauma
  3. Prepare and present case reports and process therapeutic options
